Belgravians 50th anniversary celebration

The Belgravians celebrated their 50th anniversary in October with an afternoon tea at the Country Cottage Hotel, Ruddington.

Forty-five past and present members met up and a good time seemed to be had by all.   People had come from near and far – – – many locally, as expected but also from Lytham and Rochdale, Bournemouth and even as far away as Ireland.  There may have been other places too!   Having an afternoon gathering enabled many to travel from home and back in a day.

Messages and greetings from people unable to come were read out and cards from some former members were circulated.   A “memory” book was passed round in which we could all put our names and a message.

Belgravians remains a lovely way to meet up socially with church friends and the group is open to all.   We would love to see more people coming to our events.

A little entertainment 2015

The Goldsmith Players joined the Belgravians to present an evening of entertainment for members of the congregation.

The evening was well-supported and the audience enjoyed a range of short, humorous sketches, recitations and musical numbers, ending with a short selection of items from Les Miserables from the choir.

Thank you to everyone involved.
