Nottingham City Light Night 2015

Our church was, once again, fully involved as a Light Night venue, with many different activities being based at our church.

In addition to providing meals (from a family-friendly menu), the church hosted a group of illuminated runners, a belly-dancing troop, a display by the Nottingham Interfaith Council, the Nottingham Ukulele Orchestra which was joined by the Westdale Junior School Ukulele Club and, later, singers from our own Junior Church. The church presented a display and activities about Peter Pan and J. M. Barrie (who worshiped in our church for the period during which he was living and working in Nottingham), our choir had an open rehearsal in the church and Richard, Michael, Neil and Jacob also played and sang.

Outside, our Junior Church “Scrap Heap Band” (an interactive music installation) was our entry into the city competition for a street installation made out of recycled materials.
