Sunday 14th September was our Junior Church Promotion Sunday when we recognise children and young people who are moving “up” a department in our Junior Church. (Our departments roughly correspond to nursery, infant, junior, secondary education ages, with the latter being divided into a Senior Department and a Youth Group.)
Those moving were presented with a book. Some were leaving Junior Church this year – most to go to university – and they were given a book token the previous week.
We wish them all a good year at university and school.
This was also an opportunity in worship to express our thanks, as a congergation, to all our Junior Church leaders.
