The Craft Club and friends held a very successful Jigsaw Festival and sheet music sale at church on 3rd May 2025.
This event launched our fund-raising appeal to support the planned redevelopment work in our sanctuary and realised over £1300. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to prepare for the event – for the donations of jigsaws and to those who completed them ready for the display and sale. Thanks, too, to everyone who made cakes and lunches and, of course, to all who bought jigsaws!

We were delighted that Jill G was successful in her application to the Arts Council’s Let’s Create fund.
The award paid for four craft sessions with Sophie Robins, an established mosaic artist in Nottingham, two for adults and two for children and young people. She helped those participating to create mosaic stepping-stones and these were displayed in church on the occasion of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee when we also received our Jubilee Bowl which was commissioned from Sophie with the remainder of the grant.
Members of our Church Craft Club contributed knited squares to a Comfort Blanket created for a Nottingham Trent University project raising awareness of and support for people struggling with mental health in the wake of lockdown.
