Date: 6th March 2020. To All Users of the Church Premises. Re: Reporting Cases of Coronavirus. All of us are aware of the concern about the developing impact of Covid-19 (coronavirus) in the UK and the Elders’ Council of the church is conscious of its responsibilities to the congregation and users of our premises. Along with other groups and organisations, we are following the best advice available at the moment and encourage individuals who are unwell to stay at home and to stay as safe as possible. Everyone should follow best hygiene practices, especially practicing careful handwashing. If the situation, nationally or locally, deteriorates, the minister and secretarial team will make decisions about the church premises on the basis of the best advice available. This letter is primarily to emphasise the importance of tracking cases of Coronavirus, when someone you know or have been in contact with is confirmed to have the virus. We are asking all Church Members and Friends, who worship with us on a regular basis and all the organisations which use our premises to let us know if anyone who has attended a meeting on our premises develops symptoms. If we receive such notification, we will share the information with all groups and members and take other actions as appropriate. This may involve closing the premises for a time. Any members, or users of the premises, who develop symptoms or who have been in contact with an individual who develops symptoms, should let us know as soon as the diagnosis is confirmed. Please contact myself, Rev’d Chris Ford (, our Church Secretary, Dr Noel Worley ( or our Deputy Church Secretary, Dr Graham Jennings ( Many thanks for all your help and cooperation and we pray that you all stay well and safe in the current crisis. God’s richest blessings, Rev’d Chris Ford, Minister, St. Andrew’s with Castle Gate United Reformed Church on behalf of the Elders’ Council.
