Over more than twenty years, the Junior Church Show has become a popular annual event.
During the spring, the children, young people and their leaders work together on the production of a musical show that they will present on a Saturday evening in June or July. Words and songs are learned at home, at the Junior Church Saturday Club and in spare time on Sunday mornings. The adults spend a lot of time on costumes and the sets and everything comes together on a hectic and enjoyable show weekend.
Productions have included a “Good Old Days” show and presentations of shows including Oliver!, Calamity Jane, Summer Holiday, Annie Get Your Gun, Beauty and the Beast, Bugsy Malone and Hello Dolly! and “Junior” versions of Matilda, Guys & Dolls and Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang.
