Who is involved in running our church?
At St. Andrew’s with Castle Gate we have about 190 members and adherents.
Following the retirement of our previous minister, this post is currently vacant.
The Church Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Assistant Secretaries, Treasurer and Finance & Governance Officer are involved in the running of the church together with the Elders and Elders’ Council whose work is supported by a number of sub groups focusing on different areas of church life. The members of the Elders’ Council are the charity trustees of the church.
We also have trustees for the church property. However, the ultimate authority of the church is the Church Meeting. Church Meetings are held quarterly and are open to anyone, although only members of the church are entitled to vote.
The way our church is run is governed by our church constitution.
